Senior Sales Engineer – East U.S.

Job Description Summary

MLOptic is a global manufacturer of precision optics, optical assemblies, metrology instrumentation and custom solutions for a wide range of markets and applications.  We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer based in the Boston area focused on key account management and the development of new customers and opportunities.  The candidate will have access to selling MLOptics's full portfolio of optical components, opto-mechanical & electro-optical assemblies, metrology instrumentation and custom solutions enabled by our proprietary technologies.

U.S. (Eastern U.S./hybrid)


Responsibilities

  ·  Key account management of customers primarily located in the Boston area.

  ·  Identify and qualify leads for new sales opportunities

  ·  Gain a solid understanding of MLOptic's products & capabilities and confidently present MLOptic's solutions to potential customers

  ·  Build strong relationships with the global MLOptic customer support group and work closely with the team to secure new opportunities

  ·  Negotiate and close deals and secure contracts for new and follow-on business.

  ·  Keep up to date on product knowledge, competitive activity and market trends and clearly communicate this information to the product management team


Requirements

  ·  Bachelor's Degree – preferably in a technical field such as optics, physics or engineering

  ·  10+ years of customer-facing experience, preferably with direct exposure to industries focused on optics and/or metrology

  ·  Travel of 50% primarily domestically but including occasional visits to MLOptic's international facilities

  ·  Be solutions-oriented with the proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, innovative environment

  ·  Excellent communication skills and customer service aptitude
